I have found that there are a lot more options of places to stay in the UK than there are in the US. For one thing almost every hotel has a family room with 3 or more bed. That is so awesome!
They have a lot of VRBO-style of rooms for rent in someone’s home. An Aparthotel is a larger room with a kitchenette.
I am traveling to Dublin, Ireland first.
What I want in a hotel in Dublin is:
- Airport Shuttle
- Internet
- Swimming Pool
- Laundry Services
- Breakfast
I plan to stay at the hotel and travel each day by train to see the sites.
I am finding that for a good place to stay with access to the train station and the airport I will have to pay at least $300 per night. I can go 15 minutes out of town and stay for $200 per night. I am not sure it is worth it.
In the $300 per night range:
Traveling
Trains
Airlines
Ryanair has very cheap flights to other areas of the UK. I can go from Cork to Edinburgh for $26.00.
Must DO's
Skellig Michael Island Tours
This is the island where Luke hid out in Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker. Most of the nature shots were filmed in Ireland.
The tours are very dependent on good weather and can only be scheduled “for sure” on the day of departure. The cost is around $100.

Dropped from my list.
Dive into the history of Titanic with us as we learn more about those on board the great ship and her tender SS Nomadic, take a closer look at the ships built in the famous Harland and Wolff shipyard and explore our exclusive Titanic Stories.
St George's Market
There has been a Friday market on the St George’s site since 1604. The present award-winning St George’s Market, built between 1890 and 1896, is one of Belfast’s oldest attractions.
As well as being home to some of the finest fresh produce, with customers travelling near and far to sample the delights of Friday, Saturday and Sunday markets, it has become one of the city’s most popular places to visit.
Since its £4.5m refurbishment in 1997, this charming Victorian building offers one of the most vibrant and colourful destinations that Belfast has to offer.
